PROVIDER SEARCH
The search for a new retirement plan service provider can be both time-consuming and challenging. Plan sponsors, required to act in the best interest of participants, must evaluate the type, quality, and cost of administration and recordkeeping services, as well as compare available investment products, compliance, and employee communications services.
OUR APPROACH
Our integrated and comprehensive assessment includes a three-phased approach
Phase One
The first phase begins with the gathering of information from plan documents, summary plan descriptions, service agreements, and various reports (outlining participation, investment performance, diversification, and expenses). We evaluate the design, features, benefits, and plan administration, as well as analyze current investment options. We then compare the plan against current trends in the marketplace.
Phase Two
We'll work with you to identify concerns and desired goals and advise you of potential administrative options, possible cost saving opportunities, and viable service providers. We prepare and distribute the Request for Proposal (RFP) to potential vendors, evaluate submissions, and negotiate the fee and service arrangements before providing the three to five most competitive options and our recommended investment changes, if necessary.
Phase Three
Our management of the service provider transition and/or plan design changes helps ensure that nothing "slips through the cracks" during the conversion process. We monitor all aspects of the implementation plan and investment mapping, and provide employee communication and education oversight.
Our management of the search process, provider review and conversion allows you the opportunity to make informed strategic decisions while delegating the details to us.
